Ultra compact sound level meter measures less than 6" in length, including the windscreen, and provides full 40 ~ 130dB measuring range. Perfect for numerous types of measurement including sound system testing and noise level monitoring.

1999 count display with 0.1dB resolution
Removable windscreen

Threaded insert which accepts standard tripod mount

This is a very helpful item. It can show you where to place your tape recorder to optimize your chances of recording a spirit. However, it does have to be completely silent for this to work. This is not a necessary item but it is useful and they are not very expensive.
